Reinforcement Learning Engineer

Are you passionate about taking ownership of non-trivial infrastructural development for an Industry 4.0 startup?

Deep.Meta are looking for a skilled and enthusiastic Reinforcement Learning Engineer who is comfortable with Data Science to join an amazing team of operators, engineers and developers. This is a hands-on role; you’ll be responsible for the preparation and analysis of the data you use to build machine learning algorithms.

You will be key in supporting the integration of these models with customers and should be interested in building a Start-up. Familiarity with manufacturing lines will be advantageous in solving these industrial challenges. You’ll work in a transparent environment where you’ll communicate frequently with team members in a collaborative manner, sharing good practice and seeking to continuously up your game!

Responsibilities

  • Ownership and continuous development of Machine Learning algorithms
  • Rapidly convert optimisation problems in manufacturing into a Reinforcement Learning framework
  • Developing timelines for delivering projects to customers and communicating what these are as well as any changes to the Team
  • Provide technical oversight and leadership on algorithm development
  • Take part in strategic discussions beyond your immediate role  i.e. investment, team building.

Minimal Qualifications

  • Background in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Metallurgy or related field
  • 3-5 years working experience developing machine learning models for Non-linear Optimisation Problems
  • Experience using Machine Learning for Reinforcement Learning
  • Track record in developing and deploying end-to-end data science pipelines in an industrial or business context to time and to budget.
  • Fluent with typical Machine Learning and Reinforcement Learning stack and tools: Python, Open AI, Pandas, SciPy, scikit-learn, and one or more deep learning frameworks: TensorFlow, PyTorch etc
  • Experience using modern software development tools (version control, CI/CD, containers, etc.) in a cloud platform (GCP, AWS)

Desirable Skills

  • Shows interest in leadership
  • Experience working in a Start-up environment
  • Experience working in heavy industry or with automated manufacturing lines

This is a hands-on role; you’ll be responsible for the preparation and analysis of the data you use to build machine learning algorithms. 

You will be key in supporting the integration of these models into the product software and should be interested in building a Start-up. Familiarity with manufacturing lines will be advantageous in solving these industrial challenges. You’ll work in a transparent environment where you’ll communicate frequently with team members in a collaborative manner, sharing good practice and seeking to continuously up your game!
